When I was little I thought I would be a mermaid someday. I was sure of it. I mean when I was like five the movie came out and she had my name, clearly that meant I was going to have a tail and a pet fish that I could swim with all day. When I was a little older and found out it wasn't going to happen I was really sad and I told my mom it wasn't fair. If the little redhead could do it why couldn't I? My mom had to fill me in on the fact that it was a movie, make believe and that nothing on the glowing box was as it seemed. I was hooked, and I planned to be in movies. I wanted to be everything and anything and I decided that to do that I had to be inside the tv. Then I learned you weren't actually IN the tv, but you were on film and you were then shown. It was a learning curve.
My parents were so against me acting as a kid. Apparently the odds of being a well adjusted adult weren't high and they didn't feel like visiting me in rehab, who knew. So I made a deal, when I got out of high school I could act. And that lead to me graduating early with a really awesome GPA. My mom and dad weren't thrilled, this meant I could act before I hit 18, but the deal was a diploma! So they gave in and I moved to LA where I booked my real first gig within weeks. It was sureal. Gilmore Girls and things just worked. I did a few things before that, where I was called 'the teen on the right' which really isn't that great. I mean you blink and I was gone! What is with that mess? I don't have to agree man and I didn't. I pushed!
Now I am like super busy and loving it. I just did the Vampire Diaries, which was really fun. I always wanted to be something sureal and a 300 year old vampire covers that. Plus, Ian and Paul are adorible and fun to be around. I think we had to do more retakes because of those two and their dorky moments. Ok maybe it was my dorky moments and their faces and making me laugh. I plan to continue to blame them though. They are cute they can handle it.
I have a small vacation, then I go back to filming and this time its a movie. It will be great! I love doing things that are fun, and I can't believe I have to call this stuff work, it is too much fun. I think everyone should be this lucky. |
